About the Role
Orange Nomad is looking for an Operations & Automation Specialist who thrives on turning messy, manual processes into streamlined, scalable systems. You'll own the technical backbone of our client engagements — designing integrations, building automations, and ensuring every piece of the tech stack works together seamlessly.
This role is perfect for someone who gets excited about connecting tools, eliminating bottlenecks, and architecting workflows that run like clockwork. You think in systems, troubleshoot with precision, and take pride in building things that just work.
Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end workflow automations using tools like Zapier, Make, HighLevel, and custom integrations
Map and optimize client business processes to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities
Build and maintain integrations between CRMs, project management platforms, communication tools, and data systems
Develop standard operating procedures and runbooks for automated workflows
Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve live automations and system integrations
Partner with consultants to translate client goals into technical solutions that scale
Requirements
2+ years hands-on experience building automations with Zapier, Make, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and how SaaS tools connect
Experience with CRM and project management platforms (HighLevel, ClickUp, HubSpot, etc.)
Analytical mindset with the ability to map complex business processes and spot optimization opportunities
Self-directed and comfortable managing multiple client projects in a remote, async environment
Clear communicator who can document technical workflows for non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
Experience with scripting or low-code development (JavaScript, Python, or Google Apps Script)
Familiarity with database design or data pipeline concepts
Background in operations management, IT systems, or technical consulting
Experience integrating AI tools into business workflows
